LOCALLY SOURCED QUALITY INGREDIENTS
At New City Microcreamy, we are committed to using locally sourced quality ingredients in all our products. By doing so, we are not only supporting local farmers and businesses, but also ensuring that our ice cream is made from the freshest and highest quality ingredients available. One of our proudest partnerships is with Mapleline Farm located in Hadley, MA. Their milk, taken from Jersey cows, is pasteurized and bottled right on the farm, within hours of milking. When you taste it, there is a difference that you notice right away. Jersey cows make the richest, creamiest milk, that is higher in calcium, protein, and nonfat solids. The final product has 80% overrun and 16.5% butterfat (sometimes more, depending on how happy the cows are!)
