No. 3: New City Microcreamery in Hudson
New City is my pick for the No. 1 ice cream spot in Central Mass. — and was a strong contender for No. 1 overall.
This place simply does some amazing things with their flavors. Their vanilla just hits harder than most vanilla. Their Oreo mix-ins are homemade and are just a little more indulgent. Their cookie dough? I’d buy just a tub full of that.
Meanwhile, New City provides a great experience whenever you visit. They’ve got coffee options, outdoor seating and a fun outdoor alley space. That’s before getting into the awesome speakeasy hidden at the back of the shop.
